Julie Meikle (Owner)
Salon 212 was a dream of Julie's for a long time. She started playing around with beauty at the age of 15, starting with friends and family, then expanding to being hired by local girls for proms, homecomings, and even some weddings.
Julie then pursued cosmetology school graduating in January of 2021. Just before starting on her journey of booth renting locally, she flew to Utah to become certified in hair extensions.
Only 3 years into her career the opportunity of owning a 6 chair hair salon presented itself. With Julie's natural entrepreneurial spirit and a bit of naivety she took the leap.
Now she is loving ownership and spends her free time being active outside or with her two elderly cats.
Summer St. Louis (Stylist)
Summer is an Old Orchard Beach native. Her passion for hair started in high school when friends started asking her to style their hair during sport events.
Her favorite part behind the chair is getting to help her clients relax while also having lots of fun chatting and making them feel beautiful.
Outside of the salon she is a huge dog lover, loves spending time at the beach, and spends her weekends at the old port dancing it up with friends.
Danielle Chadbourne (Stylist)
Danielle Chadbourne grew up in Buxton, Maine, alongside her two triplet brothers.
From a young age, Danielle has always had a passion for doing hair and expressing her creativity. She loves making a difference behind the chair and making people feel beautiful.
In her free time, she enjoys working out, hanging out with friends.
Peyton Cobb (Stylist)
Peytons excitement for cosmetology came at a young age while dancing with a competition team. Through this experience she learned various creative techniques in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
During her Junior and Senior years of high school, Peyton continued her passion for hair while studying the art of cosmetology at a technical school. After graduating high school she furthered her education where she found her love for blonding and lived in color.
Peyton values developing relationships with clients and looks forward to putting a smile on their face.
Marissa Pooler (Stylist)
Marissa has always been drawn to cosmetology. Growing up in competitive cheerleading she would constantly be playing around with hair and makeup.
She now is our makeup artist on the weekends during bridal season and behind the chair the rest of the week. She has a passion for doing creative vivid hair colors while also loving blonding and dimensional brunettes.
When she is not behind the chair, you can find her hiking the mountains of New England or out in the lake on her paddle board, most likely with a jar of pickles by her side.
Emily Cox (Esthetician)
I am Emily a licensed Esthetician of 5 years offering Customized Facials & treatment plans, Lash Lifts, Brow Lamination & Shaping, as well as Full Body Waxing.
I was born and raised in Northern California, and moved to Maine in 2014.
I started to pursue a career in healthcare, but left that behind in 2020 to follow my passion for beauty and self care!
I have always struggled with my skin, and wanted to gain the knowledge needed to navigate a saturated skincare market and the ability to help others like me.
When I am not at the salon, you can find me lost in a good horror or mystery novel, playing video games or traveling and exploring with my partner.
Sarah Whitney (Spray Tan Artist)
Meet Sarah! She is a Spray Tan Artist with a passion for providing a sunless option that allows people to look and feel their best.
Sarah loves to help others feel confident and comfortable in their own skin, offering a personalized tanning experience that leaves everyone glowing.
In addition to her spray tan expertise, she is a dedicated realtor with the April Cohen Team at Dustin Leddy Real Estate. Her dog Penny with always be just a few feet behind her wherever she goes.
Kimberley Woodward (Massage Therapist)
Kimberley Woodward is in the salon once a month doing chair massage. She has been a paralegal for 35 years and a licensed massage therapist for 10 years.
She got in to the massage business to help her husband get some relief after he was having issues with doing manual labor for many years. She enjoys helping people relax and wind down when life gets busy.
In Kims off time she will be spending time with her dogs or enjoying whatever reality TV show is on at the moment.
Sheryl Gobeil
(Stylist)
I am Sheryl! I came back to the industry many years ago and am passionate about helping clients look and feel their best. I especially enjoy working with my clients in creating natural and beautiful gray coverage that is complementary as well as helping them feel confident and refreshed.
Outside of the salon, I love spending time outdoors, enjoying the sunshine, nature, and the simple things that help me recharge.
